What: Terry and Demelza meet up again, and Michael bears witness

The ball was in full swing, and so far things were going well. Despite Terry's misgivings about holding the ball in the middle of the forest, which provided far too much cover for anyone wanting to sneak up to them, everything had been in order. There hadn't even been any drunken fights.

There had been some drunken confidences, though. Terry was taking advantage of the fact that alcohol loosened tongues to go and chat with various Ministry employees, testing them for any hints of Death Eater loyalty or vulnerability. He wasn't expecting to get any confessions, but with luck someone would let something slip. So far, however, all he'd gotten were a few admissions of infidelity and one or two would-be herb dealers.

That was all right with him, though. He wasn't looking for suspects for the sake of having suspects. If everyone were clean, then all the better.

What: Old schoolmates run into each other and catch up. Lies abound.
